Masmöd is a Portland-based electronic artist signed to C3 Audio, a local record label. Masmöd's albums accompany a variety of visuals in which Colorcubic has been placed at the helm of creative control.

Deceptively simple and often interpreted a thousand different ways, the Masmod logo combines two common typographical elements: the umlaut (ö) and the letter m. To replicate natural flow, we dropped the floating dots of the umlaut to create ears. The finale expresses the umlaut hungry for alphabet soup, sucking in the letter m like its first meal of the decade--in an aesthetic pairing, of course. Whether you perceive a frog, bear, or strange alien form is up to your imagination.

The dichotomy of simplicity and technicality is the cornerstone of masmod's designs. The limited edition EP entitled "Momentary" is no exception. With a mere 75 copies hand-packaged in a seemingly clean and simple design, it unfolds into a vibrant poster influenced by architecture and origami. Two sealed plastic sleeves hold a CD and a masmod sticker.
