The Audio Visual Republic, known simply as AVR,
is a creative entity formed by Aaron Sjogren. With strong ties to local
music, film, and visual experimentation, his work is driven and inspired
by all three disciplines.
The AVR posters served as a promotional campaign to strengthen the
AVR brand identity. Colorcubic's solution was
to create designs that used the AVR logo as interlocking tiles, similar
to the concept of Legos. Using the logo to build familiar shapes such
as Pac-Man or the word "AVR," it resulted
in a series of memorable brand posters that served as icons themselves.
